The Edible Earth Story
"No matter how hard the past is, you can always begin again"
Buddha.
It has been 10 years since i first created Organic Lifestyles Australia as an avenue to educate society, especially women, of the health benefits of an organic lifestyle and the healing power of nutritional medicine. I needed a purpose outside of the home and began promoting other organic Australian companies at my local markets and online. However, i was a little frustrated by the lack of local, organic, high potency wholefood options that truly embodied holistic health. It was disheartening to realise the natural health industry was saturated with synthetic, poor quality, cheap multivitamins and other various supplements, predominantly made overseas in places like China, to keep costs low, and profits high.
I would always have a knack for picking the next under-utilised trending products and between renovating and raising kids, i never seemed to have the time or money to follow through on my grand plans, and the desire to create my own superfood supplements.
After a few years Organic Lifestyles transformed into Ancient & Wild Organics, and it was an exciting moment as i finally began to fill the gap in the market for honest, natural, raw, organic wholefoods that are created locally, sustainably and ethically.
It was during this time, just before i secured my first distribution contract, that my family and I were dealt one of life's most tragic cards, and my kids and i lost the love of our lives, but it was during this time that I was driven to ensure the kids and i had a secure financial future and could help as many people as possible prevent going through the heartache and challenges cancer and chronic diseases bring.
From this senseless loss, has come a blessing, the blessing of being able to see life from the fragile perspective it commands, a deep gratitude for being lucky enough to have the gift of life itself, and the innate responsibility to help others thrive, by educating them on how we can heal the world by healing one another, holistically.
Lee never wanted us to live in despair, he wanted us to embrace every moment and cherish it, to be brave and find meaning in the meaningless, to find love when all we could see was darkness, and to keep moving forward when all we wanted to do was sit in that darkness and be angry, and cry and never wake up.
It has been the hardest years of our lives, but from the most devastating loss has come so many triumphs and miracles of other peoples healing and happiness, as well as our own.
There is a global awakening and shift towards eco-conscious consumerism and preventative natural medicine as the Gold standard moving forward. We know first hand that the best chance we have at a happy, healthy life is prevention, and we will never give up on our mission to make this everyone's reality.
Through all of this, Lees legacy lives on and Edible Earth was born.
It is a dream come true to bring Edible Earth to life and share it with you, so stay tuned for more exciting creations, and thank you again for your support, I am forever grateful.
